The Royal Site of Tara, home of the High Kings is a very prominent feature of the county, as is Slane & Trim Castles. Meath with its proximity to Dublin's Airport makes it very accessible to the rest of the country.

There are plenty of activities locally, such as Golf, Fishing, Horse Riding, Tennis along with Leisure Centre & Swimming pool. There is a regular Bus Service to Dublin which is less than an hours drive away. Navan itself is a superior provincial shopping town with a variety of shops to suit most.
